    Toilet vent into attic?

Thanks for the replies guys. Yeah they are a member of the NHBC, no way I'd of purchased if not. They've fixed all the other issues without any problem and generally to a good level. I just wish they'd of taken more care and pride when fitting things the first time.

    Toilet vent into attic?

We only moved in about 2 months ago, so all this should be covered under warranty so will be getting them to do this. The other pipework is literally the other corner of the house, so would be a long pipe across the entire loft space.

    Toilet vent into attic?

Yup, not joking. Found an empty cider can under the shower the other day... I think they were all drunk when putting this place together :(

    Toilet vent into attic?

Ahh ok, so this is a safe way for the toilet/taps etc. to be vented? Assuming it shouldn't be taped on like that though? Thanks for the reply

    Toilet vent into attic?

Hiya, Hoping this is the right section and not roofing... We recently moved into a new build house. I finally got chance to have a look in the attic the other day and I'm a little confused. The en suite toilet/waste seems to have a vent coming up through the ceiling and out the roof as...

    Plasterboard ceiling leak advice

Hiya guys, We recently moved into a new build property. The shower waste wasn't fitted properly and we had a small leak from this. It dripped through what I'm assuming was plasterboard right in the corner where the sloping ceiling above the stairs meets the flat ceiling of the front door...

Curtain pole vs. dot n dab plasterboard

We recently moved into a new build property that has the lovely dot n dab plasterboard walls with hemelite blocks (http://www.tarmacbuildingproducts.co.uk/products_and_services/blocks_and_mortar/blocks/aggregate_blocks/hemelite_standard.aspx) behind. I need to put up some curtain poles, but...

    Adjusting french doors

Hiya, We just purchased a new house and we're having a few problems with the french doors. When its been hot during the day, the top part of the doors catch where one of the metal lock brackets is. The fitters also seem to of cross threaded one of the stay bars so that's going to need to be...

Light fitting rating with LED bulbs

Hiya, We have a light fitting in the kitchen where we live that takes 4 x GU10 bulbs. The fitting states 20w max per bulb. I was thinking of replacing them with some LED bulbs instead, but the 20w never really seemed bright enough for the room. Would going for a higher rating, say 40w...

    Rusty drill bit

Well its from a set of about 15 bits that cost less than a tenner, so its not a huge loss. I have a much better set that stays at home. I've just noticed a bit of the same corrosion on the end of the chuck tho :x

    Rusty drill bit

Hiya, Went to use my drill today and noticed that the one of the titanium coated hss bits is pretty rusty. I've lent them out to a few people in the last few months so I assume someone didn't clean the bit after, but does anyone know what might of caused it to rust like this? Especially the...

Birds getting in under dry verge?

Ahh maybe you're right, my apologises. I was basing it solely on what I could find online to purchase. Oh well

Birds getting in under dry verge?

Forget what I said before, after looking closely at the side profile of the verge and photos of marley ones, they're very similar but it looks like marley ones don't overlap in the same way as these ones do. They're probably just cheapo generic ones... can't seem to find any that look the same...

Birds getting in under dry verge?

All the houses in this little cul de sac have the same dry verges fitted, so I assume they were fitted when the houses were built back in 1995(ish). Is it easy to remove the end and fit one with a blocker? If so, do you know a suitable place to buy one from? If not, can you think of a way...

Birds getting in under dry verge?

Because of the guttering position, its really hard to see. I haven't got a ladder atm, but I will be lending one off of my boss. Do you have any idea what brand these might be if they don't have any fitted, so I can source some if not? These are photos of my neighbours houses as its easier to...

Birds getting in under dry verge?
