    My first Skim

Nice! Not a bad looking job at all. White powdery stuff should come off if you use a coarse cloth and wipe over the surface. Sacking is ideal. Regards Fred

    Birthday Present

Davy, You seem to have a very similar taste in music to me! I love a whole range of music but ultimately, anything rock wil get me going. Joe Satriani - there ain't many people who've heard of him really. He's ace. Banan Mango 2 is awesome too. G'n'R, Metallica, Iron minden, Black...

    Cheese on toast

Nah, not in my house. But there is a balance to be had between melting all the cheese and getting the tomatoes grilled properly without burning the rest of the cheese!

    Cheese on toast

Ooooh yeah, tomatoes. I melt the cheese first and then ad the tomatoes. Sliced cherry toms are the best. Then a bit of salt and pepper. Yummy.

    B&Q fitting service

I did a job a few weeks ago for a customer who was having a bathroom fitted and the fitter would be turning up mid way through my job. Was chatting to the customer while having a tea break and they mentioned that they were paying £3,500 to have this bathroom fitted by B7Q. Not £3,500 for the...

Lack of support from the wife

Steve, hy not compromise with her. Tell her you'll hire someone for the electrics and gas, but you'll build and fit / hang the units, sort the plumbing and fit the doors and then you'll hire someone to do the worktops. Then you'll tile and finish. Nice, easy and quick for you and doesn't...
