    Chalet Roof replaced with EPDM.

It's fleece backed EPDM. They tried resticking the corner piece but the wrinkles were set into the fleece by the glue. Part of the problem may be due to the 3 showers per day on the first two days which made some of the work a bit rushed.

    Chalet Roof replaced with EPDM.

Well it's a great improvement over what was there before! No more mice/wasps and bees nesting in the roof! The installers said that they will be losing money on the job as it took far longer to finish than planned. They said some people paid more than I did just to roof a garage.

    Satellite Cable Crimpers.

Normally MALE connectors are use on satellite cable. These are F connectors and use the co-ax inner as the pin. If a female connector is required then a Male F connector is used with a Female to Female barrel.

    multi room sattelite

In a normal single receiver set up the LNB sends down the coax cable one of the 4 bands (L/H, L/V, H/H and H/V). The receiver chooses the required band by a combination of tones and voltage levels back up the coax to the LNB. In a multi receiver set up the 4 bands are sent to a switch box...

    multi room sattelite

That's not true! The LNB changes the frequency from about 11GHz to about 1GHz. That's why a normal coax cable can be used from the LNB to the receiver. A lot of satellite receive systems use just one cable. Sky+ uses two cables as it has two tuners. In a Quattro LNB the 4 coaxs are used...

    Tinned Copper Conductors

The only disadvantage of using tinned cables I know of is when using screw terminals. The tin coating can creep with time and so loosen the connection. Thinking about it the same will happen with crimp connectors.

How do I remove a tap handle?

The screw was in the side. Will there be another screw in the top under the plastic? The tap is in my summer chalet so cannot have a look until Weds. I've tried hitting it upwards with a BIG hammer. Will try the trick with a piece of wood and hot water Thanks
