    Probably another simple one, but whats the best way to go about this ? After the cat knocked a set of ladders down the stairs leaving a hole in the wall I filled it with some deep gap filler from screwfix. As the wall is white and the filler a dark grey I am having trouble painting over it...

    Gap around lightswitch

    Since removing the standard light switch on my landing I am now left with a series of gaps where the plaster has crumbled. The switch that I am trying to fit is one fo the crabtree flush plates types so I need the plaster to be in place for it to sit on ? I'm sure this is an easyish problem...

    Issue with plaster on stairs

    Looking for a bit of advice here.... (as usual)! Where my walls meet the stairs (stair string ?) I have a nice crack running along it as there is a bit of movement in the stairs. How can I best solve this ? One of my mates ripped about an inch of the wall out and filled it full of plaster...

    I need to paint over much deep mahogany coloured balustrades, skirting boards etc on the stairs and was wondering which is the best way to approach it. I understand that I can't go straight on top with gloss paint as it will just chip, so I am wondering what the best approach is to preparation...

    Repairing hole for extractor fan

    I've just remvoed the small extractor fan in the bathroom and now that I have come to put it back it would appear that the pasterboard it screwed into has crumbled a bit and no matter how I orientate thefan the screws always find big holes. How would I repair this ? Or is there a better way...

    Newbie painting a radiator

    Cheers for the advice guys but I ended up taking a slightly different route whiched seemed to work well. After sanding the radiator back down I stuck with the radiator paint but applied it using a foam roller. I was then able to lightly lay it off and have ended up with a much better finish.

    I've done a few searches on this but there seems to be conflicting opinion on the best way to do this. Quite simply I just want a nice smooth, gloss white finish on my radiators. I went out and bought some radiator paint and (after sanding) gave them 2 coats. The finish however is rubbish...
