Is there plasterboard behind the plaster? Just the steam from use of the shower could allow enough water in to be a problem, even if the area hasn't been splashed. If moisture has been getting in for a while, it'll probably be best for you to take them down to assess the damage now...

I've always found Deva to be reliable. Have a look at their full range www.deva.org.uk If you find a local supplier who deals with them regularly then you'll probably get them cheaper than retail price. :wink: K

What is the substrate there? It's hard to tell from the pics. Also has the shower been in use with the tiles off? From the gaps around the tiles it looks like a lot more are going to come down with little persuasion. Knock lightly on the rest of the tiles (all over, not only the ones that look...

It could be quite easy to replace the tiles that have fallen, but I would be inclined to find out why they fell off. If there is a problem with the substrate then you may be better off taking the lot down now, rather then have them all fall off later. If there is no problem with the base, then...

Taking the motor out to check the brushes, found that one of the cables going into the plastic connector block has blown, :cry: (I have taken a pic but the upload doesn't appear to be working at the moment.) Is this something that is likely to be repairable, and if so how? K

Have you got any more details? Size, thickness etc. A pic would really help if you're after advice to match up... :wink: K

Not sure if plaster is the same, but with tile adhesive and the like you usually get 12 months shelf life. I wouldn't have expected them to hang onto it for the first 10 months of its life :!: I doubt there's much you can do about it but I'd expect more. :roll: K

Bump... Please help, all ideas welcome. Should I just bite the bullet and replace the damn thing? It's been a really good machine so far, it may even still be under the Hotpoint 5 year parts warranty, but I'd have to try to find the paperwork to prove it :oops: K

Because some people don't eat meat as a principle, not because they don't like the taste/texture. Some people just flat out don't like meat and I expect that they don't buy many packs of pretend bacon.... :wink: K

I would recommend taking the loo and basin out. You'll get a much better finish if you fit them on top of the tiles, rather than doing awkward cuts around them. K
