Toilet not flushing away contents effectively....

If you have taken out a 9ltr cistern it is surprising how much of a difference there is between that and the new ones! That said, you should not have this problem on the full flush. Try calling TC direct on: 01924 868 383 Ask for their technical department. It sounds to me that something...

tiling on floor boards in bathroom

If you use ply, it will need to be screwed down at 6" centres to minimise movement, so the floorboards will take some damage anyway. If you really want to save them, you could lift them and then board the floor with 25mm ply (would need to give more details on your joists, once you can see them)...

Tiling Toilet Hung on Metal Frame

MDF is not dimensionally stable, this means that if something does go wrong, and it gets wet, the tiles will fall off. You'd be better off using something along these lines: http://www.wedi.co.uk/building-materials/boards/buildingboards-interior.php K

Kitchen drawer & door dampers seem unreliable.

I've had dampers like these in a rented property, the kitchen was new when I moved in but quite soon most of the dampers failed. I'm sure the landlord thought I'd been giving the kitchen a battering! When we did our own kitchen we used the Blum dampers that fit onto the hinge. Much better...

    Value of scrap copper

He didn't quote for rubbish removal, nor was it requested. It was expected that all the waste would be left behind. K

Doesn't sound like he had a waste carriers license though... He left all the rubbish there! K

    Ripping out the old bathroom...

Its not a very nice bath. Its a 1700 in an 1800 space, my OH and I are both tall so we're replacing it with a nice 1800 easy to clean acrylic bath! If it was a roll top or something I'd resurface it. He was just digging out the ear defenders when I spoke to him at lunch time :!: Having lived...
