Cement board is fire proof yeah? Yeah the timber wouldn’t be that close to the burner itself! Would be a load cheaper too than getting steal or whatever!

We want to bring the wood burner forward and that won’t leave much space at the front if we do that, don’t want the wood burner buried at the back of the chimney breast. Thanks just checked, mine is 150mm sides and 300mm rear. So I think timber frame would be ok with fire proof boards! X

Yeah agree! It’s ok when you are sat in the sofa - there’s a big distance between the tv and sofa but if you’re on the floor or closer it’s deffo too high up!
