    Can you use a juntion box to extend a socket cable. My sockets are 3ft above ground and i want to move them down a foot or so. Can i use a juntion box to extend the cable (no give in the cable) or do i need to take the wire back to the box? Thanks

    Excuse my ignorance, but I have moved to a new house and the hot water tank is in a bedroom, the heating is oil fired and the tank is seperate from the boiler. Can i move the hot water tank to the loft? (it is finished and insulated) or is this a stupid question.
