    Used a small wood chisel to take a little area off then the trowel scraped the rest off. All done. Jobs a gooding. On to the decor now.

    I put and few trowel fulls of plaster on a boarded wall and had to rush out the plaster has gone hard and I need to remove and start again as it was not even out. What is the best way to remove the plaster from th eplaster board. Was thinking a wallpaper steamer ? Sanding would take forever.

    Yes I am unsure though whether the side walls under the 9 x 2 eaves has a cold sir. It is directly under the shallow part of the roof which is cold in a way.

    Filling gaps in between dry lining

    Thanks Just looking at the way the Americans dry wall. Do they just put boards up then joint compound then sand then prime then paint. Would you say plastering gives a better results or just the same ? Only asking out of interest.

    In about 2 places were the board meet there is maybe 5 mil gaps as the boards had to be cut to get into the loft. Can i just fill these then scrim tape ready for plastering ?
