Whats the purpose of the tapered edge then I though it was the same principle as with for eg the t ng edge loft boards. You did not have to get them to land on a joist ? I now I am wrong just want to understand the purpose of the taper edge. Is it so you dont have to use scrim tape ?

I am currently looking at a loft window in this size range. It does not have to be a velux make or the exact size of the velex SO6 but just round about. The SO6 is 114 cm x 118 cm. Anyone know of the best places to buy roof windows who are reasonably priced ? Thanks

Just in the process of ordering the Celotex 50mm. When this is delivered and installed will it just fit tight in flush with the rafter's and then leave the 25mm gap at the back of the insulation. Or do I have to battern out the back with a 2 x 1 batten to leave the gap ?

I have to get some vents put in. Are there any risk to the structure if condensation occurs ?
