    To add to the above...where is the differntial by pass? Also check the hot water zone is the right way round. That might be the a use of your clunk.

    Hope he's good at fixing boilers as well as installing them. I would get an Intergas/Atmos. None of the problems highlighted by the naysayers have any merit. Descaling the domestic side of the heat exchanger is simple if needed. Can be done with kettle descaler and a garden weed...

    Does the cap that you have on there hold the water without leaking? if so then it ain't the pipe being deformed. Although I suspect either he cut them too short for the shower fitting, or for some other reason the tail is now too short to fit the shower. Either way - looks like tiles...

    It probably won't do any harm, although you might get poor circulation. Pipe work won't need significant altering, but depending on your system it might need a partial drain down. An hours work... maybe...
