Hi, I have an ceiling extractor fan in my bathroom which has the fan in the loft. What i'm after is a smart new extractor fan grille to put on the ceiling. The old one was square but the only ones i can find are the ones pictured below which i have fitted but hate the look of. Can anyone help me...

Could i fit that vertical?

No its an old 1910 property. Had a structural surveyor look at it and he blamed it on last years hot summer. At the tray level it looks all good and sealed. The photo is taken a lot further up the wall where its at its worst. Do I "backfill"the gap with anything before resealing?

Hi Not sure what forum to put this into!! I need some advice on re applying sealant in my shower. We have had some movement and a gap in the corner of the shower has appeared (I've attached a picture) The gap is over 7mm. How would be the best way of re sealing this? I was going to use CT1 sealer.

Thanks for your reply. Do you think Ronseal 2 part wood filler would do the trick? I have used it before and has had great results with it. The grey cupboard is my fridge so putting a simple architrave round the door would be doable.

I may also look at putting a small simple architrave round the door frame.

I'm fitting a engineered wood flooring over floorboards. Can anyone tell me the best underlay to use? The floor is pretty level as its been sanded before.

Hi I'm going to lay an engineered wood floor soon and have a couple of questions. I'm going to lay most of the downstairs and wondered if i need to put any expansion gaps in the floor itself using door thresholds or could I do one whole floor. The dimensions are roughly 7.5 meters by 3.5 meters...

Managed to peel it all off. Going to mist coat then prime it. ( not sure if that's overkill !!!))

Thanks for your replys. Im going to peel all the paint and get back to the plaster as its coming off like wall paper!! Does the zinsser 123 go straight onto the plaster with a roller or paintbrush? I'm upgrading my extractor fan as well.
