Now you have brought my attention to the matter, the tripping started after i removed a loose cracked porcelain floor tile in the kitchen. I was not able to put in a replacement tile as the adhesion of the previous tile was on top of the electric underfloor heating. To preserve the heating, I...

Electrics in kitchen cut out if I use more than 3 appliances

I managed to unplug all appliances in the kitchen this morning. As I am not keen on moving these heavy goods again, I attached breaker extention cables to each socket to make access simpler in future, reset the switch at the fuse board, switched on the vacuum in the hallway which is on a...

Electrics in kitchen cut out if I use more than 3 appliances

I've not had the chance to move out all large kitchen appliances as I ran out of natural day light to see what I was doing. However, I was intested to see what would happen if I left the vacuum switched on and then attempted to reset the fuse box. The vacuum initially tripped the kitchen...

Electrics in kitchen cut out if I use more than 3 appliances

The hob and the boiler are the only items unaffected because they are on separate circuits. The microwave is the only item I can't actually unplug as it is hardwired straight to the isolation switch. Will unplug all appliances later today and plug in one at a time.

Electrics in kitchen cut out if I use more than 3 appliances

I haven't yet been able to unplug all items together. It's a huge amount of work moving the white goods which are all integrated. I will get a chance later today. I should mention that all the appliances are plugged in to wall sockets which in turn lead to a grid of isolation switches all of...

I've been unplugging one appliance at a time and not all at once. I'll try the latter.

Electrics in kitchen cut out if I use more than 3 appliances

So far, I have been able to move and unplug the oven and fridge freezer. But the electrics in the kitchen still cut out. I've also eliminated the kettle and toaster as the cause. All that is left is the w/d, d/w, and microwave.

Electrics in kitchen cut out if I use more than 3 appliances

The vacuum and the electric fire do not cut out when they are plugged in to a socket which is not in the kitchen. There is another RCCB with a text button but it is marked 80A 30Ma 386/s030. There are no other RCCBs.

Electrics in kitchen cut out if I use more than 3 appliances

In the last week, I have been able to use only a maxium of three appliances in the kitchen. If anymore are switched on, the electrics in only the kitchen cut out at the fuse box. The rest of the apartment is not affected although if I plug the vacuum or the electric fire in anywhere in the...

pressure low on greenstar cdi compact

Just to correct the information I gave above. I've inserted the white key below the open padlock. Then turned it to the closed padlock. Then turned the white knob to the left to open the water supply. I cannot hear the boiler filling and the needle remains at zero.

pressure low on greenstar cdi compact

My boiler is a Greenstar CDi Compact. The boiler is working but I've noticed the hot was sometimes cutting out and turning to cold. Looking at the pressure gauge on the boiler, I've spotted the needle is at zero. I've tried to put back the pressure by following the instructions in the manual but...

Oil filled radiators controlled by a wireless control unit?

Does anyone know if there is a company out there who supply oil filled radiators which can be controlled by a wireless unit. I want to fit 4 radiators. The sockets are already in place next to the space where the radiators will be fitted but I need a wireless control unit which doesn't have to...

    Shower diverter valve

When I had my shower fitted, my plumber forgot to fit the concealed shower diverter valve for a hand held shower. At the moment, I can only have a shower via the fixed head shower. Is there such a thing as a shower diverter valve which can be fitted in front of the fixed shower head? If so...

    Dimmer switch not working

I think I may have discovered the solution when looking at the back of the module where there is a handy diagram. It would seem the unattached end of the wire connected to the yellow module connects to the black module.

    Dimmer switch not working

One of the double dimmer switches in my kitchen has suddenly stopped working. When taking the cover off, I spotted that the brown wire coming out of the yellow module was disconnected (the black module works still). But I could not see a corresponding connector for the wire inside the box. Can...
