Hi guys just after some advice.. Called out to see a customer who is getting a new kitchen..all plaster has been removed showing all cable runs some good some bad.. I explained id give him a price to add extra points and remove /re route cables into safe zones..he has an old fuse board non rcd...

So im newly qualified and want to run my ideas before a number of experienced electricians ahead of speaking to my boss to design the wiring...is this not the place to do it??

Dont mean to sound arsey but how many responses offer wiring suggestions...I suggest circuit into a spur supplyinf stop start then stop start back to contactor....ring wired through s contactor..if it doesnt comply then please advise if it does then can this method be improved

the spec for the job is a 4mm2 ring main feeding about 8 sockets at workstations (its a science lab) they want the teacher to be able to isolate the sockets with a stop button inc a key lock and then be able to re energise with the start button..

Evening all Im looking to wire a ring main through a contactor with a stop start mushroom button that can be locked off with a key.. Im unable to download paint.net so ive created a drawing( a bad one) showing how I plan to wire this but would like to some advice/thoughts on how it could be...

ive unplugged from the motor.. to remove the motor is it as simple as removing the retaining clip and does the motor then come away from the pipework ? Is it the motor that is replaced or the actual valve ?
