    Morning I have a baxi platinum 28 HE combi boiler and have noticed the radiators are hot despite not having the central heating on for months.. we have warm showers etc but deffo not had the heating on.. It would seem something is allowing hot water through the system maybe a valve open...

    ive stripped it out all out and cleaned it in the bath im actually disgusted with the amount of crap that came out of the pipes and the basin under the sink.. anyways ive put it back together and it appears to have fixed the leak cheers guys

    cool thanks for the replies.. whats the name of the part that I need ? I presume there is a thread on the sink that my replacement part fixes too ?? You will have noticed my bowl and a half sink kit which I installed to replace the following.>>> :lol:

    Yes the neutrals popped out when I opened the socket up..I then isolated the circuit and reconnected them.

    yes thats right. I could do that however my concern was that the spurred socket has a 1.5mm t&e going out to a JB with 2.5 t&e going out to a shed powering socket and light so was looking at losing the 1.5 mm t&e out of that spur.. I was looking at through crimping a leg from the ring to...

    I had a request to add an outdoor socket for a customer so off I went and on arrival I see a socket on the lounge wall that I (hopefully can spur off) so I unscrew the socket and see 3 t&e's then when pulling the socket forward the neutrals and 1 red all pop out from the terminals..so power off...

    Evening all.. mains voltage fan above 2.25 meters on the wall in zone 2...NICEIC advise it can be mains voltage as the fan is rated ip44 thoughts???

    Just reporting back to offer closure on this.. went back tonight and moved the motor cables from terminals 1-3 which is slow speed to 2-3 high speed and the fan worked fine..customer now wants a fan with a neon on to show when switched or not.....which i suggested to start with lol
