    Fuse wire

My electrics box has a main trip switch and then the rest is the fuse wire cartridges. Should I get it upgraded? Or can I simply replace each fuse wire with a RCD trip?

    Its that time of year!

Switched on the central heating, and, nothing!! After some investigation I thin kthe 3 way valve has gone. Painting over gloss

My living room has nasty yellow gloss paint all over the doors, door frames and the coving. What is the best way to paint over it? Or do I need to strip it down completely? I would like to go for a white gloss finish instead. Anything but the yellow glare!!
