Ok fair point but what are the chances of getting caught doing say 2-3 lGSC a week, because thats all it'd be, at the most. I wont even do breakdowns or installs, purely the LGSC's to keep this customer happy.

Im not that stupid, I wouldnt milk it. I'd just keep doing LGSC's for a particular letting agent. Worried about BG finding out about my corgi now, what can I do to prevent them finding out, apart from getting rid of it!

You dont need 18 months experience, its 6, and I actually got mine after just under 6. How do they check the register? Ive already got my own corgi so what can I do about it? I think its unfair personally but rules are rules I suppose What is the actual likelyhood of getting caught...

What I mean is, is there anyway of them finding out through corgi (or any other means) that I have my own corgi? If I get caught red handed doing privates thats my own fault, but can they actually find out if I have my own corgi?

Ok, had the interview today and it went really well, they basically said they want to employ me, but ive got to do the practical on Saturday first. Couple of things that have concerned me, the most being the fact that private work is a sackable offence. Im doing quite a bit of private...

I got a flyer through the door 2 weeks ago saying they were looking for engineers in the area. Filled out the online form, and a week later got a call to go for an interview, which is next Tuesday Does not having an nvq really mean I wont get the job? What about the older guys, who were about...

Ok the trouble is, Ive only been doing breakdowns for 2 years (1 year on my own) and my company has never put me on any training courses. I try to teach myself as much as I can but I still sometimes struggle, especially on boilers that ive never seen and also on the new condesing boilers. At...

Also, with regards to the training, is it a case of they tell you what courses you go on, or can you choose as many / little as you like?

What do you mean about the tightening procedures? And as a breakdown engineer, what would a typical target be? Also, do you get paid for working weekends and call out or is it part of the basic salary? Thanks

Ok, and if it hepls I was getting 230v on m11.1 and m11.3 with tap off and 0v with taps off The thing that is puzzling me is why the boiler continued to fire and cycle when the boiler was switched off? And why in fact it would do this even when switched on with no demand for dhw or ch? Any...

Surely it would be leaking if it wasnt? As far as I can tell its only a spring a couple of o-rings and a rod ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Also, if it hepls, i took the motorised valve off and had a look. The pin in the motorised valve was flush with the casing, and did not...

Had a call today, they could only get hot water with the heating switched on. When I got there it was working fine, but just before I left it started playing up. With heating off, when you open hot water tap, boiler fires, then quickly goes off, then on and off etc and the water goes down...
