Premier 24, Wintex SMS Centre Number

Ah, thanks. But shouldn't it work if the Vodafone number is in the second box? I've put the Vodafone in the first box- will see what happens. Should it be in both though? My landline is with talktalk. Wondering if there didn't let me use those numbers?!

Premier 24, Wintex SMS Centre Number

I know there has been a lot of discussion around these in the past from doing a few searches... However, mine used to be fairly reliable and I turned off the signally a while ago for arming/ disarming etc as it was no longer necessary. Having turned it back on via Wintex (which works perfectly)...

Texecom Premier 24 and Wintex questions

Ah, had thought I might need a newer or different Wintex. Presume I just put the IP address somewhere into Wintex instead of dialing up. Is it just a case of plugging in the comip or do I need to add something else?

Texecom Premier 24 and Wintex questions

Thanks, so to use the app I would need a new panel? Or I can use a comip and access Wintex online, without having to dial up? Sorry, not sure I understand how this works. How would I physically connect to it? Keen to avoid using my existing dial up modem. Also, not following: 'The Premier 24...

Okay, thanks. Which is preferable over those two? Will both still be able to send texts? Assume PIRs will remain compatible so it's only the panel that would need to be changed.

Texecom Premier 24 and Wintex questions

Hi All A few questions if I may for a novice! I have a Premier 24 with a Com 2400 communicator. I very rarely use Wintex to log into the panel as its always a bit of a pain with the old dial up modem I have, set up only for my old computer. 2 questions therefore: 1 - my old laptop that I can...

Automatic bypass valve required or not?

The rads get hot, they're just undersized for the size of the room... big old stone house, no insulation, high ceilings in the that room...

Automatic bypass valve required or not?

Oh, and it's a worcester greenstar camray 18/25. The manual says: An automatic bypass valve must be connected between the heating flow and return where TRVs are used on all radiators, fitted to give at least a 3 metre circuit when activated.

Automatic bypass valve required or not?

Thanks - there's one towel rail without a thermostat and another large radiator in a large room that never gets up to temperature (another story) so sounds like it will be okay closing this valve down.

Automatic bypass valve required or not?

Hi All I have what I think is a Y plan system - the hot water goes into a valve which either goes to the radiators or the hot water cylinder. There is a gate valve used as a bypass currently. I was looking at switching this for an auto bypass but not sure if anything is actually required...

Creating a vacuum (?!) on a sealed CH system

Thanks John, very helpful. When you say bleeding water, do you mean out one of the top normal bleed valves on a rad as opposed to a drain valve? Assume this should be on one of the ones i'm removing?

Creating a vacuum (?!) on a sealed CH system

Evening all Excuse the terminology to start with... I have a sealed/ pressurised (is that the same thing?) heating system where i'd like to cut into the pipes at ground floor and put stop ends on as a temporary measure until the plumber comes and installs some new rads after some alterations...
