    Joining 20mm galvanised conduit

Hmmm, maybe ignore my last post, seems conduit may be made with a lot thinner walls these days! Stuff I used to play with had 1/82 walls.

    Joining 20mm galvanised conduit

As others have said get 3m lengths delivered, also get a suitable dia. sized length of all thread and tap the conduit where they join.

shower light operated from shower switch

With the flow switch I showed, you would connect one lead of the flow switch to the switched side of your lighting and the other lead to the above the shower light fitting. If the lights aren't on it will never work. If the lights are on and you start the shower (get a flow) the above shower...

    Light not working

That should be it. The 2 blacks together are the neutral loop and feed. The single black is your switched live and should have some red sleeving on it to show it isn't a neutral.

    Lid off!

That would never happen. The plasterer should have skimmed the studs down a bit!!

shower light operated from shower switch

Thats what I did, after advice on here. One of these: Don't know the longevity of this as it's reasonably new but does the job admirably.

    Light fitting to be moved

I love the Wago connectors but in your particular circumstance I would be using an Appleby 4way 20amp MF box as Chri5 shows in his second picture.

    10mm² Cable for a Shower

Most likely. I once had to redo a re-wire in an old Toll House as I'd used flat t&e and not round cable (flex). Same as military housing should only be wired in armoured cable. Kipper houses in LSF.....

    Shower pull cord switch

I reckon its down to the "This is live, I'll make sure its tight, and this is neutral that takes the empty electrickey back, so its not important". If I get a call saying the showers suddenly stopped working I always take a new switch with me. I've yet to see one where, if the shower itself...

    10mm² Cable for a Shower

It is Sunday, and it is early so I'll let TTC off (but PBoD spotted it).

    April 1st Already??

It doesn't need thinking about. Anybody with half a brain cell would realise its bloody obvious. Very true, never assume anything as far as electrical work goes. Sounds like the OP has already started down the "do something dangerous" route. Four year old grandson was helping Granda' change an...

    10mm² Cable for a Shower

I need about 12m of 10mm² T&E cable for a shower as the shower is rated at 11kw @230v and 11.5kw @ 240v, but everywhere I've asked for it says they only sell the round stuff. Anyone any idea where I can get some 10mm square T&E cable? I've got about 12m of square 6mm cable but I don't...
