    2 years ago when i checked it on the DVLA website it said,not sorn,not taxed and not insured. Now it does not exist and i wondered if personalised plates expired after a certain time if not retained ? and that is why it does not exist ? The owner has gone into care.

    The leak will not be there but probably higher up around the white nut.Whipe it all dry and then run the shower and feel around the nut for water.

    I thought the valve with the cap on worked as a lockshield by using an allen key ? That's how mine work.

    There won't be a fibre washer,it will just be an olive. As stated above just hold the tap tight and give the nut a tweak. If it does not work then undo nut and wrap some tape.

    It's fully pumped.The pump by the boiler is for heating and the other pump is for hot water. There will be thermostats controlling the pumps.

    or cut the pipe between the Tee and elbow and you won't need any 40mm pipe.You would need one 40mm coupler and do the rest in 32mm pipe and fittings.

    That is/was called a taft joint..The lead compo was opened out to a bell shape using a turnpin.The copper was then tapped into the lead and filled with solder.We used to rough up the end of the copper so it bit into the lead and we would also and tin it first.

    It's copper.Lead would have brass tails sweated on to fit the compression fittings.
