    Old Radiators - New TRV's

How much difference are we talking ? I would cut the copper and put new pieces in but if you are not confident then it might be easier to drop the rad 1/2" or whatever. Most rad valves will be the same length.

    Old Radiators - New TRV's

The new rad valves will be 1/2 BSP x 15mm copper so will fit your rads.

    Draining Down CW Storage Tank

Turn off supply to tank and use a hosepipe to empty it by syphoning it either outside or into wc/bath. It works well and empties quite quickly. If you force the gate valve it could snap.

    central heating loop pipe

Your boiler may have a bypass or you can put an automatic bypass in between the flow and return or you can remove one TRV (bathroom). If it's a combi then no bleed would normally be needed in loft.

    Welder Question ?

Could anyone give me some tips on what sort of welder i would need for joining mesh panels to each other. These are quite small gauge panels and i would guess at 2mm wires.Would it be a spot welder ? thanks.
