    Door handle latches - quality

Interesting all the Yale latches in Wickes not specifying backset but overall depth. None meet my requirement. Though opposite to latches you got door handles some with latches that are backset I require, surprisingly they don't sell just those latches. So online it will be then ). I stop...

    Door handle latches - quality

I'm on my third internal door upgrade and still haven't found a good quality latch to use. There doesn't appear to be a good mid range 62mm backset latch. The few which cost £6-6 in tool station or Screwfix have very poor ratings and I'm put off. I've ended up buying £1 because there's no other...

Felt support under fascia, is it a must?

Job doi, before and after pics below. Found a good supplier: eurocell. 225mm 5 metre cap board under twenty quid compared with b and q wanting £50. Also underfelt support 3 lots for £4 total. Felt support under fascia, is it a must?

Hi all, I plan to cap fascia over existing wood fascia thats 40 year old. Wood generally in vgc apart from endings. Should I attempt to push a felt support system under the felt? Cut out some rot before I put up uPVC over the top and treat the rot at either end of the 4 MTR fascia. The board...

DIY skimming over walls, should I attempt?

Thanks, I've now got 80qiid or so invested in tools. Actually ended up better than I thought. Kept trying to correct first coat but then waited after flattening applied thinner second coat and that seemed to fill and make it all smooth. Was going to invest in ox skimmer but settled for expensive...

    Insulating summerhouse/log cabin

I put my log cabin shed nearly twenty years ago, I think the braces you refer to could be these long stud threads that stretch from too to bottom in all four corners, I didn't even install mine. Be aware if you insulate you won't be able to inspect the cabin wood from the inside once covered up...
