How can I free it ? It has 3 settings on a switch on the side. When it packed in a while ago on a certain setting I simply switched it to another and it worked ok,,,this is what I did until I had tried the pump on all 3 settings :-( Thanks for the lightning response..

Hi All, I have recently been quoted £113 for a new pump for my 'Gloworm Hideaway 50' as it heats the hot water ok but fails to make it through the pump to heat the radiators (and its starting to get cold ;-) but they said if it needs the pipes "Draining" aswell then the cost will increase...

Just took off the dizzy cap and put back on - seems to be ok now - will be doing a 100mile round trip tomorrow returning on Sunday - Will let you all know how it goes - fingers crossed ;-) Thankyou to everyone who helped me out - much appreciated.

Is there anyway of "un-sticking" the pump if that is whats wrong?..

Hi, I have an old "gloworm Hideaway 50" central heating gas boiler which is now pretty ancient. The problem is I can get hot water ok, but no heat to the radiators - I have felt the pipes by the boiler and they are boiling hot right up to the pump (then it goes cold)...I have changed between...

I changed the rotor arm and dizzy cap on my Mk 4 Escort XR3i Cabrio last night and started the engine and all seemed well. However, when I drove to work this morning it was kanagarooing and giving small judders as I accelerated which is an obvious result of changing these parts - Have I done it...

Hi, I have an old boiler (not the one I'm married to). It is a Glow-worm Hideaway 50 and the pump has stopped working regardless of what setting it is on (1,2 or 3). The pipes are red hot up to the pump and we still get hot water but the water is not pumping to the radiators which are stone...
