    Not possible now , but I dont think that would help I think it happens when either the bath is emptied or the toilet upstairs is flushed as the shower is boss is at ground level and everything else is above it .

    it will be the auto air valve needs replacing , this is on your central heating not on the cold water or domestic hot water side hence why it didnt stop when you turned off the mains , it will be draining the central heating . Easy enough job for any competent engineer .Price of auto air valve...

    Any one know where I can get spares for this item the inernal fuse has blown , not sure if the element has gone it is giving a resistance reading of 91 ohms , not sure if that is good or bad , any help appreciated

    three way valve usually by the cylinder is faulty , probably the motor inside has gone . as a temp solution there is usually a manual lever on it which will get the heating working untill you can swap it

    you need to get the pressure guage up to between 1 bar and 1.5 bar and bleed all the rads to get any air out . then see if you get any error messages
