I have a diamond wheel wet tile cutter and it says you can use it to cut holes/recesses, but it doesn't say how. I need to cut a rectangular hole for wall mounted taps in the centre of a 10mm porcelain tile. Anybody got any tips on how I can do this?

Ok, thanks all. According to homebase leaflet "how to replace hand basin or bath" you need double check valve and service valve on each pipe - hot and cold, just before the taps. Is this a bit of overkill then?

yes I have done that. i turned the hot water on on the timer, the towel rail heated up. I then bled some water from the towel rail, and the pressure guage on the boiler dropped. Does that mean I'm ok?

But I already know the hot water timer heats the towel rail. That is why I asked the question initially. Have I misunderstood?
