    CH Problem after flushing

Chris - you can't embed a pic directly in the text. First you have to upload it to a server somewhere and point to its URL using BBcode tag, then it shows on the page. OMG, that was groaning with jargon but I guess you know what I'm talking about. There are various freebie sites which...

    CH Problem after flushing

Chris - Yours are superb. All I'd suggest is 1. More illustrations 2. A jargon-buster (HW, CH, AAVs, fully pumped system etc). On second thoughts, it's generally best to spell these out as you go along, eg "hot water (HW)". Ah, noticed you did this anyway with DCV. 3. switche(s) =...

    central heating pump Urgent Help!!!!

Indeed he was. This is a subject close to my heart. Once, laid up wth flu, I had to call an engineer (CORGI) to replace a pump that broke down in mid-winter. He fitted it the wrong way round and rogered the boiler. "Oh, I thought it was one of those with the pump on the return" said he, writing...

(Indignant) There are none. I don't want to bother him. He's too busy doing good in the world.

    CH Problem after flushing

Check out Chrishutt's excellent advice in the "for reference" section above. http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=37170 Chris - congrats for getting this going. I'm a slacker. Edit: In more ways than one. You beat me to the answer :D

    Manual for a Danfoss FP75

Hello, Oilman. Hold-up on the flue front because one of the pieces Hotline Chimneys sent was the wrong colour. Mustn't slag them off, though, because Brian, the guy who runs it, was extremely helfpul and got the manufacturer to send me a replacement direct - without even asking for the old one...

    boiler regulations

Ha! You want to try it. None of the (OFTEC) registered installers I've spoken to will touch my DIY job. Not even Oilman.

    central heating pump Urgent Help!!!!

No need for that, Gasman1015. Chris is absolutely right. It's unlikely but possible. Carctol - all you need to remember is that the pump should drive the water from the highest point in the boiler to the lowest point, regardless of where it, or the valve, sits in the circuit.

Use a neon or light blub (with mains on) or butchered domestic torch (mains disconnected) to test continuity.

    Glow-worm spacesaver 50 /DHW problems

Dave, no wonder you are not getting any replies to this question. It's more like 20 questions. You obviously have finely-tuned powers of observation. In the time it took you to write this, you could have done some research to find out how it all works and come up with some of the answers...

    warm water

Tell the bloke nicely that his servicing job has screwed the system and ask him to come back and fix it. Do this as soon as poss or he may blame it on something else.

    central heating pump Urgent Help!!!!

If you can trace the pipe back to the boiler, the pump should be on the flow, ie the pipe conected to the top of the boiler, and the arrows on the pump should point away from it.

    The Lady loves warm towels

On second thoughts, you could probably get Angelina to fit the towel rail.

    The Lady loves warm towels

I would not want to know a woman who behaves likes this, let alone get into a shower with her. Even if her name was Angelina Jolie. Chris, you're better off as you are. Frank, tell her there are millions of people who would give their right arm just to drink the water from the shower.

    MYSTERIOUS FLOW

DO NOT USE CAPITAL LETTERS. No one will reply to people who shout, apart from me. The problem is obvious. Either /or - One or more of the radiator valves (presumably that's what you're talking about) is stuck - You have a blockage (why do you say you don't think there is one?) - You...

    Glow Worm Fuel saver 65F

Does the boiler cut out before pipes get hot? In which case it's probably the stat. Presumably you've tried turning it up.
