hi all, strange question i know, but we are having kitchen ripped out at end of the month & obviously the wife will be without oven for a while...but she asked me that when we take the oven out ( electric ) could it just be plugged in into a socket in the garage so she could at least cook...

hi matty, thanks for the reply...i to firmly believe that the expansion gaps were not adequate...especially around the marble fireplace...there is NO gap there at all...i will take you up on your offer of the report if i need it thank you...i cannot see on here where to send you my email address...

just traced the pipes and the ballcock leads to the 15mm pipe which i know now ( with your advice) is the mains...everything else looks like you said..connection to header..with isolator valve etc etc...and i will make sure mains is turned off ( under kitchen sink :) & also fit isolator valve...
