As the subject says; fitting one of these locks and drilling the hole in the door for the locking bold to fit into is a problem.

What type of system is it ? Fully Pumped or Pumped Central Heating and Gravity Hot Water. I have the Installation manual and they are different. I'll have a look if you tell me, failing that I can spend a little time scanning it and sending to you.

Not much to offer given what youve already checked other than to say that lot of appliances these days have their own internal fuses and more than one in many cases.
You do if its controlled by a battery operated device..........and its telling you the battery is low.........and you admit you saw and and couldn't be bothered............
Are you doing a 'like for like' test ? or are you turning the drum by hand when it is empty hence bearings and other bits not loaded, unlike when the machine is having to turn it with wet, heavy clothes inside........
Age of machine; how long has this been happening, etc, etc ?
Common problem with (older) laptops is that the fans get blocked with dust, have you cleared both fans and vents of dust ?

But the points about the quality of these PCBs and the faults found on them remain.
I think Gasguru has nailed this. I had the same fault on the same boiler, it was the gas valve juddering. Seen many comments over the years on the PCBs in these boilers being iff'y and that was the case with mine. Traced the PCB circuit back from the valve to the switching transistor and it had...
