    Your se should be able to do it even if you cut them back level with the steal then a timber in the web and jiffy hangers. Or cut back and then sistered in to the web se can do the calcs and spec the overlap and fixings to keep BCO happy

    If your on good terms a simple prop would suffice it's a garage roof so not much loading Re move brick fit your new joist put brick back just cut smaller to support then remove prop

    Looks like a mixer tap. The hot runs through the middle of the tap and the cold around the outside. In essence a double walled pipe. This is why the hot is thinner and more central. It probably coming out faster as the pipe is smaller think thumb over hose pupe
