    Pellets

I've just viewed another similar site - https://ftcdirect.com/pages/about-ftc - and the ****s are asking for £ 39.75 for a 2 litre engine !! It must be because of the technologically-advanced tin-antimony pellets.

    Timing Belt - 2016 on 2.0 Dispatch/Expert

I know nothing about your engine, but a useful technique i saw on YT was to cut your existing cam-belt in half lengthwise so that it is still on the gears and maintains all timings but leaves space to push the new belt over the teeth and push the old one off. This should ensure that you...

    Night versus day driving risk

This telematics box will be for national safety statistics and has nothing to do with - and will not be linked to - insurance comapnies.

    EV are they worth it?

" The real question is: why are you so keen to defend him?" Because you seem to be a fanatic, and I am always very taken by the idea of having events portrayed fairly, which obviously fanatics never do( see next para about cars tested for example ) . Also, as I have previously said, I don't...

    EV are they worth it?

You appear to be so wedded to your view that you cannot believe anything else: calm down or the blood-pressure might go past the red line. As for the car tested, can you not possibly understand that it was simply offered to him and he accepted it ? He is a vlogger, not the motoring journalist...

    EV are they worth it?

(16 mins ) A road test of the Audi e-tron GT by high peak autos. He's doing a 230 mile drive down to Eastbourne from Stockport area, so all heavily developed, motorways etc. Brutal comments on charging infrastructure, eye-watering cost of charge, complimentary about car except its price - £ 93K

Decking-oil : white spirit instead of turpentin

Hi I am re-coating my larch decking using an oil that is natural i.e. without solvents. It says that is can be thinned for extra penetration using turpentine. I don't have any and it's a long trip ( 30 miles ) to get any. Can I use white spirit instaed ? Thanks

    Charging EV

I'd say an apparent acceptance by lots of new internet-linked companies that if 70% works, that's good enough and they'll sort the rest out later (maybe ) . Watch the video from 10:20 for 90 seconds: you'll get his general opinion and the real kicker about the stupidity of some charging...

Buying a car online unseen and warranties.

I first found out about the fees watching a car-dealer's YT channel: the fees may be less but they are by no means low according to the numbers he quotes.

Buying a car online unseen and warranties.

    I also only had good experiences with auctions, however I see that BCA now adds buyers' fees to the auction price. They are pretty damn steep: £ 500 car - £ 250 fees £ 1 000 .. £ 398 £ 3 000 .. £ 521

    Thanks for that tip, Freddie

    Phone-based mapping/route-finding.

Well you may not be listening, but your point doesn't help. I've just checked my settings and the only refusal I have , is for untarmacked roads and that is the only French Waze option for types of roads. Other choices are for ferries, motorways, toll-roads , pollution-zones and difficult junctions

    Phone-based mapping/route-finding.

How do you do that - or maybe give a link if it's long and complicated . Thanks

Buying a car online unseen and warranties.

It would have to be a really tin-pot little outfit for it to be worth their while doing that for one car. Anyway, if you pay for any amount on a credit-card, the card company becomes liable for the full amount if you have grounds for a refund.

    Phone-based mapping/route-finding.

Unless you have studied the whole route beforehand - which I would never think of doing - how are you going to know that, especiallyt if you are just reacting to "take the next turning left "

    Phone-based mapping/route-finding.

That's happened several times to me as well More or less single -lane roads that would cause real problems as - in England - they do not usually have passing places. Sent down a really narrow road a couple of miles long somewhere near Rye or Hastings as well as some othe roads that I would never...

    Phone-based mapping/route-finding.

What are your experiences of using Waze or Google as map-guidance solutions when you are driving ? Several times I have been given completely wrong information i.e. being told I am at my destination when I am two/three miles away or given ridiculous instructions to leave a completely empty...

What's wrong with pushing it back and forth by a foot or so at intervals ? Obviously doesn't address your other questions.

    Oem partnumber?

The motor is a sub-assembly which can be bought and mounted by anyone. It in no way indicates that this is a Bosch fan assembly.
