Decking-oil : white spirit instead of turpentin

Hi

I am re-coating my larch decking using an oil that is natural i.e. without solvents. It says that is can be thinned for extra penetration using turpentine. I don't have any and it's a long trip ( 30 miles ) to get any. Can I use white spirit instaed ? Thanks
