    Replacing CPU but blank screen

Hmmm wasnt aware of the four LEDs will check later on. The GTX 1650 GPU was working fine with the old processor, but I saw the CPU bottlenecking, hence the upgrade. I tried both processors with GPU removed and fell back to DVI-D. The machine stays on for 30 secs or so, then powers off by...

    Replacing CPU but blank screen

Hey, yes there is a SSD little difficult to hear it spin up. I'd checked that the SATA cables are pushed firm. Bios was updated before all this, to suit the new GPU. The only point I struggled with was pushing home the cooler posts, as the first time I did this I presumed they'd need to be in...

    Replacing CPU but blank screen

Hi, upgrading my PC CPU to an i5-3470s that the manufacturer says will work with the mobo http://global.shuttle.com/products/productsSupportList?productId=1555 Followed all YouTube advice about how to seat the CPU, correct pressure on the clip, and adding a line of thermal paste. Boot machine...

Which antenna for WIFI in garage?

I would always advise going direct ethernet first, which you've already tried? I find tplink powerline plugs reliable. Havent used PoE gear in this respect, only for CCTV cameras

Need New Printer - Which Brands Have Well Priced Ink?

Hi, I bought an HP Envy 5000 series during lockdown and find their £1.99 per month for up to 50 sheets ink hire scheme works very well. HP know when your ink is about to run out, and send new ink automatically. :)

Emails going directly to Trash, unread on iMac

Nothing under "rules" rather than referring to trash. My guess is that a rule is there to move msg to trash on receipt.

    Insulating an inflatable hot tub

Hi Foxhole, it seems my physics is weak. Had no idea a simple air gap could offer any form of insulating property, or that a lower volume of water holds heat less efficiently. My take was less water = less to heat back up. The only lid I have is an inflatable disc and a canvas cover. It's...

    Insulating an inflatable hot tub

Thanks guys, good point about life of tub. We've had it four years, and being portable must mean a fairly short lifespan. Its roughly 700 litres with thr fairly shallow depth for young kids. We do sit it on foam camping rolls, but walls and lid are inflated cavities only.

    Insulating an inflatable hot tub

Hi all, can't find a thread for "insulation", so here goes..... My family would like to erect our Bestway Monaco semi-rigid "hot" tub, given the great daytime weather right now. My concern is that overnight the temp drops to 10 or lower, so the heater might be going all night, like a kettle...
