From what i read its a boiler off job and i can afford to pay for a replacement by a tradesman, im unemployed. The schrader valve was leaking so i fitted a 90 degree ext and this has sealed it.

This was fitted like this since the house was new 8 year ago. It looks like its designed for a boiler. 6 simple screws and it slides forward 6 inches, i need to disconnect the wiring from the socket if i want to remove it totally, so its not too bad. I can imagine these being a nightmare sometimes.

Thanks Tony Does it matter if i fit it onto the return or flow for the CH? Should i keep all pipework to 22mm? Is it just as simple as one pipe from the external EV to the CH pipes?

following the faq on here, water was coming out the valve, also when i was pumping air in, air came out the bleed valve when i was releasing the pressure, the EV seems to be shot.

I have found on other forums, if a thread has a lot of replies, people think the problem has been resolved and dont tend to bother. I could be wrong here but that's my train of thought. Thinking is a dangerous hobby :) What size of EV will i need? Will i need any other items apart from the EV...

The pin is open as the pin etc is removed from the valve, i have fitted the brass 90 degree extension shown on my previous post, it makes access easier and fixes my valve problem. Time to follow the faq and recharge the EV.

I attempted to remove the old core, it did not go so well, there appears to be part of the body still in the valve so i cant fit a new core, can i attach this extension and leave it attached or would this not work without a core in the valve? i just ordered the 90 degree extension, hopefully...

any ideas chaps?

i wish i had known this before buying the tool and cores, oh well, the extension would make life easier indeed, ill persevere, i need to keep spending to a minimum, cheers
