    Toilet installation

Must be something about plumbers (no offence guys) I've had 3 people. Look at this job now and not one actual quite to sort it out, I'd have thought it would be quite straightforward to give me an indication on time and price how to put this right, apparently not This is holding up the entire...

Kitchen induction hobs, oven and worktops

All. Sorted now thanks guys. Was a case of lowering the oven unit in the end, he didn't want to do that based on aesthetics, but it seems the most logical way rounds things at the moment and doesn't look out of place at all. Thanks again

Kitchen induction hobs, oven and worktops

To be hobest I think they were the same price, we went for it based on looks rather than anything else. No I agree, though I had a look online briefly and it appeared that nearly all inductions were around the same depth. I wonder how people with 20mm quartz worktops manage

Kitchen induction hobs, oven and worktops

Howdens supplied the worktop, I bought the hob. Howdens were going to supply a hob and never mention that 22mm worktop could be an issue for induction hobs. Only reason I didn't go with them for their hob was because they wanted to sell me a Lamona one which I was told. To avoid

Kitchen induction hobs, oven and worktops

Thanks for that, I'm abit annoyed if that's the case as we had the kitchen designed by howdens and surely they should know this sort of stuff to pass on to customers. Thanks for the advice

Kitchen induction hobs, oven and worktops

Hi Hopefully I've posted this on the correct section. I'm getting a kitchen fitted at the moment we have 22ml worktops, the instructions on the induction hobs says it requires 30ml worktops. The worktop was. Already cut out to accommodate the induction hob, by builder says he could raise...

    Toilet installation

Thanks again, have attached a photo of the shower installation. I've had a few people out now, 1 plumber asked for the original plumber to put this right as he doesn't want to touch it, 2 others have said shower nerds to come out and board needs to come back. Off and then to be re done What do...

    Toilet installation

I chose him based on mybuilder and his reviews, the fact he came out and changed a stop tap 2 other plumbers didn't want to do, he did a good job on that and fitting some outside taps etc. He seemed be doing everything OK, until. It came. To the actual 2nd fitting of the bathroom. My brother in...

    Toilet installation

I have had 2 plumbers come our and look at it now, both said the job isn't good as you guys would likely expect. One said he'd rip it all out and start again, another said it shouldn't be a massive problem if he can get a decent fall on it all. Another issue, the original plumber apparently...

    Toilet installation

Thanks all I'm. Useless at DIY or this field but to me it didn't look great. Worst bit is, he had a spirit level there. Now I Ower him £230 for his work yesterday and materials typically I'm right towards the end of a complete house renovation, money is put and I've had a bad painter and now...

    Toilet installation

Hi guys.. I have a plumber doing some work for me at the moment, he's fitting a toilet and sink combined unit. The toilet isn't plumbed in just yet, but my builder said in his opinion, this doesn't look great and feels its possible not at an angle enough to move waste along and down the soil...

Hi Due to get my house painted soon, and the mrs wants Dulux Various colours we are looking at, I did wonder, was homebase are doing 3 for 2 on dulux at the moment, Im curious as to whether the Dulux Easy care is worth paying that bit more for, over the normal one in same colour, basically...

Killing plant, can't get to root

Hi I'm currently trying to sort out s garden that hadn't been touched in years. Removed a big bush, but the root seems to run underneath a path and I can't pull it up. There's nothing either nearby of any interest, so could I use some weed killer or something similar to try and destroy the...

Removing black adhesive and paint from brickwork

Hi I've just had an old porch removed from my house, it looks better but theres a black line where the top of the porch used to be, presuming it's an black adhesive for the old felt or something I'm guessing. Also they painted the brickwork which was inside the porch, but obviously now...

    Electricity, garage en bloc

Thanks for all the replies. I'm abit of a novice, would anyone please link to the things needed at all please? All sounds more hopeful than I first thought, I know it's probably not going to be cheap, but if it's cheaper than paying £300-400 a year on gym memberships then it's still worth...
