    External Meter Cupboard - Regulations

I think adam_151 may have one that'll best that, if he's around.

    Expanding Foam Copper Pipe

I doubt this is or ever was to building regs when the flats were built/converted - it could allow the spread of fire for a start. Do you have a landlord?

    Coloured Braided Cable

For what purpose is the braiding? If purely decorative, some types of expandable braiding can be purchased separately and then slid over any flexible cable.

    External Meter Cupboard - Regulations

Could perhaps do with a better mechanism for locking the doors properly, but I think you'll realise that it's actually in very good condition when someone inevitably posts pictures of some of the rotten disasters that they've come across that are still energised.

    Fan isolators

Surely that's because light switches are there to provide functional switching, rather than for the purposes of isolation/servicing?

Aren't we? What about 20 and 45A DP isolators? 13A SFCUs?

New Business Phone System - recommendations?

If you want simplicity and minimal upfront costs then a hosted system such as ThinkGrid may be ideal for you. Failing that, it doesn't take a particularly high-spec machine to run TrixBox, which you can download an an ISO and use to install a pre-configured version of CentOS complete with...

    Smoking consumer unit

Hard to say for sure, but looks like the MCB in the centre of the bottom picture may not have been tightened onto the busbar properly, and the heat has damaged the adjacent breakers. That is, assuming your CU uses the slotted style busbar, rather than the type with prongs.

    Anti-Syphopn or HepVO Trap?

I'm pretty sure I covered that one. The reason I (and perhaps others) haven't provided a black-and-white answer is because, as I keep saying, you need to refer to the manufacturer's instructions. I expect you will find all the answers you need within them, although they probably won't be to your...

    Anti-Syphopn or HepVO Trap?

While I'm aware of the requirements for at least one toilet whose waste isn't discharged via a macerator, I'm still a little uneasy about what you've been told via BC regarding the shower and sink wastes. You keep mentioning siphonage throughout this post, but I don't think that's likely to...

    Moving Burglar Alarm Cables

You will certainly have to remove the batteries from the alarm panel and power it down, and probably the same for the bell box too.

    Anti-Syphopn or HepVO Trap?

You'd need to consult the manufacturer's instructions, but it sounds feasible.

Can't you stud out the walls to be able to hide the pipework?

Garden Pond. to bond or not to bond

Perhaps the members on said discussion group should just accept that RCDs aren't a catch-all that will prevent every form of electrical catastrophe from occurring, and the best thing to do is not to drop your electric leaf blower in a pond. I would, however, be interested to see the results...

    Anti-Syphopn or HepVO Trap?

I don't understand. It would surely be much easier to take your sink and shower waste into the macerator, along with foul waste from the toilet, which will then leave you with the existing 40mm waste connected directly to the stack. Into this you can then connect the outlet from the macerator...

    Anti-Syphopn or HepVO Trap?

Normally the bath and sink waste would run to the macerator and be pumped as well - anything else risks foul waste coming back through the bath and sink. If the entire 40mm run is downhill then you might get away with a HepVO trap, but if the waste is being pumped uphill then you absolutely need...

Plumber has just drilled into my 14mm Shower Cable!

What you see covering the cables is plastic capping, not conduit. It isn't designed to protect the cables from screws and/or nails, nor is there any requirement to. I'd question the wisdom in the electrician having run the supply to the 45A isolator via that route, although technically it is...

    Ducting for bathroom extractor fan

It's possible, but totally pointless, and probably wont work well with typical bathroom extractor fans and their low static pressure. Far better to vent out through the slates. Less ductwork, and you'll get a much better flow rate, which of course means better extraction and less moisture.
