Just an update , was wheel bearings, replaced both front , all good now. Nice car , drives really nice n smooth..no noise now..

I had honda , before this go r 8 years, was very reliable, think it had same clutch, original bearings etc..was 2004, model, solid , reliable unlike ****e nowadays

Ok..update it's the wheel bearings that are noisy. ..mind u pads are well worn , need replacing, mechanic told me to get wheel bearing and pads, do job in one go..so what's a good make of wheel bearing , gonna replace complete hub,..eurocarparts have 50% sale, but only got a company called...

I'm getting it checked out Saturday.. hopefully everything will be sorted will post back..

Hi guys just an update , my rear brake pads are worn , really thin..could explain the noise I'm getting anyway had to be done..Ive reserved there from Euro csrparts , I entered reg of my golf 1.6tdi 2010 plate and says they will fit, but looking on eBay at same pads some listing says they won't...

I've had two brand new Marshall tyres fitted at the front about 3 months ago, didn't notice the noise..seems like it needs further investigation, don't wanna start changing this and that because mechanic said , at my expense..worse case , I'll wait till it gets very noisy ..

Saw local mot place, put the car on ramp..checked all wheels, all bearings were fine, however , rear passenger side wheel was binding slightly, when spinning it freely. Looked at my mot sheet, had an advisory note , stating " slight binding in rear wheel, but not excessive "..he suggested a new...

thanks mate... i use good quality diesel too esso etc..think ill take it for a little run evry couple of weeks, motorway is just round the corner from me..a copuple of junctions should do it.

once a week, i was thinking once a month...damm these dpf filters, did take it on the morwat today, constant 70 mph at 2000 revs and above for about 30 minutes...was hopinfg to this once a month..i only do about 100 miles per week lol

yes blue wire provides 12v to electrical aerial, but since i dont have an electric aerial it supplies 12v to the inline amp which which appaerntly what the black box is, so ive been told ....anyway i jpoined the two blue wires together , ie from back of headunit to the one on the amp and i havnt...

ok ta, i dont have an electrical aerial on my mk6 golf, but what is the black box ? wonder if its in inline amp for radio signal boost
