Dormer conversion - leaking ridge area

Agree with what has been said above but why has it been pointed in what looks like I Can't Believe It's Not Butter ? That is the sandiest mix i've seen in a long time and doesn't look adequate in either performance or visually, I bet you can see that verge from the foot of the garden....

    Best scribe tool?

Use an M6 / M8 / M8 / M12 washer dependant on the widest gap you have and run it down the wall with your pencil against the inner rim and it will do the same thing as the 40 quid tracer scribe.

    Roof leak below loft conversion

It would be worth you standing outside during a heavy rainfall and watching how the roof and gutter perform, you may get wet but it may tell you what is causing it too.

Can anyone identify what this huge hole/well? is in this basement?

Do you have a better image of the hole and pump as it may be possible to adjust the position of it to route the piping nearer the corner and then it would be easier to conceal it and provide removable access panels to both pump/sump and pipe.

Can anyone identify what this huge hole/well? is in this basement?

You will find it an advantage as any water getting in is already being managed via the pump so it has potentially saved you a small fortune. At worst if it needs a new pump they are fairly cheap to replace and you can just reconnect it to the existing piping.

What vacuum for plaster dust? Henry with hepa bags sufficient?

I always use Henry / James / Charles vacs as they are just so good and cope with anything I throw at them and dust is never an issue. Use the white bags and you will be fine.

Roof sag several years after chimney removed

It is just the felt that has sagged and the structure is fine so you need to tuck the upper piece of felt down behind the lower felt so it looks like the bay to the right of it. You could then insert a timber if you wish to stop it recurring but not essential.

    Early Edwardian Cellar

Try looking on the Rightmove website for similar houses for sale on your street and also houses that have sold as many of them will have the estate agents photographs on so you may well be able to see either images of a similar cellar or at least a floorplan and measurements of one.

Could be any number of suppliers as it is a very popular style. Try looking underneath the worktop as they are often marked with the manufacturers name or brand.

    Scaffolding query

Why not use a tower up to just above the cill height and then remove the opener on your window and board through into the room using timbers on the cill so as not to damage the frame and use Spandecks or similar which you can fit uprights and a handrail to and for the short amount of time it...

    Soil vent height above roof

If it were you i would cut it as low as around 3 inch above the tiles as it would still function as planned in the location it is in and you have no worries about Building Control coming knocking. I would also fit one of these to avoid birds falling in...

How is water getting in shed ?

We can all discuss this from now until Xmas but you need to actually try something to stop it so start with sealing under the glass, if that doesn't work then consider looking at the putty and perhaps replacing it with sealant which , to be honest, is probably better for a shed given they are...
