Another "worth the extra" question re showers

I quite like the look of the £200 system so I could consider buying that and swapping the controls out for the crosswater one?

Might I ask what would be recommend at this sort of price point? For triple tap, outlets as above?

Another "worth the extra" question re showers

Yes fair point (re spares). My sort of counter was at that price (£200) replacing an entire bit (fixed head, flexible head on riser or even the filler tap) would make it cost effective. Re Victoria Plum, Bathstore 123 etc: I thought I was being good!!

Another "worth the extra" question re showers

Okay I accept that but I've used tge online Victoria Plum etc as my yardstick and that was the £300ish range Is it a brand worth the outlay though? Now that I did check and both said spares not a problem.

Neighbour planning single storey extension to side of house.

Thanks Tony. I guess I didn't really express myself well. I was trying to give lots of info about the location just to explain what was planning to be done. This is all new ground for me as I have never had a neighbour extend at my previous house but know these things can get "fraught" We are...

Neighbour planning single storey extension to side of house.

Thank you for the help. As you say it isn't wide enough to drive a car down. Looks like it was built same time as the extension at the back and used for storage I think. I will ask him just how far he is coming (he did tell me but I was 3/4 asleep at the time - might be much closer to the...

Neighbour planning single storey extension to side of house.

Bit abrupt wasn't it?! All I was trying to do was get a handle on what is "allowable" in terms of inconvenience (for want of a better word) to neighbours. If having to deal with end result being i look at a brick wall and the ambient light is blocked then so be it; if that isn't the case I...

Neighbour planning single storey extension to side of house.

Our neighbour recently informed me they would like to do a full-width extension to the side of their house. Currently we have kitchens which see each other over the boundary fence. We have 2 long windows along ours as this is main inlet of light (and a smaller window at the "end" of the...

    CCTV Camera Spec demystification please

aah that's good to know. There is alot of AVTech kit on eBay Sorry I forgot 1 more question: Lens focal length. Some (many) are fixed at 3.6mm lens and others offer 2.8-12.2 The latter are obviuosly more expensive. What is the benefit of the 2.8-12.2 jobbies over the fixed 3.6mm one please?

    CCTV Camera Spec demystification please

I have tried to do some reading around it so would appreciate if anyone could make sure I am on the right track and explain a few things: Cameras are going around the house. The one with the "further" view required will be a long-view of the back garden. rest will be from room for driveway or...

    CCTV/DVR Advise Please

Another question please. If my DVR is (say) up in the loft and I want to connect it to a TV in the master bedroom what will be the simplest way to achieve this? I doubt they make 5-10m HDMI cables. There is a Cat5 network cable drop into the same room but I would not really want a massive...

    CCTV/DVR Advise Please

Thank you Sparkymarka I look forward to your feedback. Had a look and it seems eminently up to the job (on paper). One thing occured to me though - most DVRs support Android it seems. IF I happen to find a good deal on (say) a Samsung could I not just use the web interface on my (Windows)...

    CCTV/DVR Advise Please

Hi mate no I haven't. My plan is to get a better understanding if what I news from a dvr and cameras then get a quote from a local company for: -supply and fit -fit my kit: if it works out much cheaper to get my own cameras and dvr from eBay or wherever then I would go with this. If only a...
