You need to get ventilation in somewhere. Fresh air in and somewhere for it to escape. Air bricks, trickle vents etc.

Touch the pipes either side of the valve in the picture with the shower running. Other than that, does that shower have a thermostatic cartridge? Edit. I see youve had it off the wall.

Have u tried seeing if there is flow from the lockshield with rad disconnected? Could be lockshield, if not its a blockage.

If it from where the pipe enters the bottom of the valve there is no way to stop it leaking other than doing it properly. The join needs to be remade. But you could try tightening the nut slightly but risk making it worse.
