    Moving a radiator

Thank you for your prompt response, MJN! It is great to know that there is no danger in having the pipe so close to the hot surface of the radiator. I wrongly assumed that you couldn't have the PB pipe close to the rad! That's all. Out of interest, could I win a few extra millimetres by...

    Moving a radiator

Dear Forum Members! I've hit another stumbling block with the radiator install  The old radiator has a 3 cm gap between the wall and the rad, allowing the use of the following pipe guide and seal: The new vertical one has a much smaller gap (11mm): I am working with JG Speedfit 10mm...

    Moving a radiator

I am so sorry to keep coming up with more questions! The Mrs has raised the stakes by suggesting that we hide some of the pipes into the wall. I have a very rough sketch of this: One question that I have is: how bad would it be if the 15 mm flexible polybutylene hoses form a bit of an arch...

    Moving a radiator

A little follow-up question, if I may! It has been mentioned that the following fittings are reusable: With the system drained, could I just push-in the white collar and pull out the hose, without cutting it off?

Wooden door naturally bent - need draft exclusion ideas

Ordered! Looks perfect, as it would naturally adjust to unevenness of the door. Thank you for offering this solution, and BIG thanks to everyone else who have shared their experience!

Wooden door naturally bent - need draft exclusion ideas

I think it's the heat - the door is black and in the summer you could get a burn just by holding your palm against it! It has this glossy finish (which need some TLC at this stage)

Wooden door naturally bent - need draft exclusion ideas

I think it is the latter, as I can't see the individual pieces of wood!

Wooden door naturally bent - need draft exclusion ideas

Thank you. I think this is what we are going to do. I am curious to learn about the EDPM strips and how you adjust them...

Wooden door naturally bent - need draft exclusion ideas

Thank you for the idea. Ours is a wooden door, and it's generally sitting in the right place. It's the warp that is causing the problem :(

Wooden door naturally bent - need draft exclusion ideas

I am very interested in this, thank you! How is the fitting adjusted to the door face? Do you somehow adjust the strip itself?

    Moving a radiator

Thank you, I now know what the part is. And it is a Myson! Impressive valve identification skills! Can I please ask one more question? I have brought up installation instructions for a Pegler Terrier Lockshield radiator valve angle pattern with push-fit elbow And it suggests that I simply...

Wooden door naturally bent - need draft exclusion ideas

Dear DIYNot members! Our front door has naturally (over five years) developed a bend at its bottom corner. I would like to put some draft excluder around that side, but I'm not 100% happy with the idea of only putting it along just the half of the door height (as the door won't close evenly)...

    Moving a radiator

One of the parts that I was after is the so-called '10mm bracket' (3 minutes 33 seconds mark): Here is what it looks like on my radiator: But I can't find this part on screwfix/toolstation at all! Could you please help me find out its proper name?
