I recently grouted tiles in my whole bathroom with a product recommended by a plumber which has turned out to be very soft. you can rub it away with your finger. is there any treatment i could put on it to waterproof it and toughen it up? or is it a question of re-grouting it?

can you put a pump just in the hot water line and leave the cold at mains pressure? I've only ever seen double headed pumps to pump hot and cold. any recommended brand of pump?
