    Arrgggggg!!! Ideal standard waste

Mcapline fitting will fit on. Have had the misfortune to use one of these and it is a PITA to fit up but it does work suprisingly, even the magneticly operated plug. Just watch when you have to bore the bath for the control some baths (Ideal, Sottini) will have a stepped support board under the...

I need a nee gas valve urgently

Contact Johnston and Starley WAU manufacturers, they will be able to help or phone gas appliance spares in Preston. They have got me out of a hole a few times when BG said parts obsolete.

What to replace an oil-fired rayburn with?

Well got the Grant going today and is suprisingly quiet being it hasn't a RDB burner on it. Standard round flue on it so just a 130mm hole to cut, boiler is heavy but at a push if your fit a one man lift as it is stripped off the backplate before fitting it. Boiler is about the size of an old...

Ideas for hot air heating replacement

Nothing wrong with warm air heating. Usually easy to fit an up to date model for greater effiecencies. Quick heat up and quiet because of modulating fans these days and gives a very even temperature around house. Bonus of having fan on in summer to circulate air around house without heat.

could anyone identify this propane regulator?

If your "plumber" is going to work on a 350kw burner or loading he should be able to work it out for himself, tha'ts if he has the commercail qualification. Also this relates to gas work and I think need to be in the CC.

    Geberit WC Frame

Used the frames a few times but bin the plastic soil bits that come with it as don't trust them as I feel they are too small. Put a 4" flexi onto 4" soil back to branch. But there could be an underlying prob with the drain.

This is a new model boiler and must be under warranty, so I would contact Glowworm and ask them. Saying that have had a failure of the wireless set up unit in the boiler so it could be that.

Its a very old Mira 8. You can still get repair kits for it but an upgrade would probably be better.

Electric underfloor heating mat to big!

You can cut the element off the mat and lose it on the floor. It should be in the instructions telling you how to do it as no rooms are exactly what you need. you either have a bit too much or too little where you have to re-space it out to fill the missing gap.

    tectite fitting

I sometimes use Tectite sprint as got a good price on them for showers and awkward locations. Yes you can turn them once on and have had no probs with them. The sprint fitting are non demountable and the Tectite brass ones are.

How do i adjust Don regulator...oil Rayburn?

You need to know how much oil is passing through the valve. There will be a data badge on the top which could say 4cc to 8 or 9 or 12cc a minute. You need a calibrated measuring device and the knowhow to take the readings which would take too long to describe. Contact OFTEC and they should be...

How do i adjust Don regulator...oil Rayburn?

Don't touch the screws unless you know what your doing. You could overfire the Rayburn and cause a fire. You need someone who is OFTEC reg'd and his ticket for vapourisers. Why do you want to adjust the float valve????
