Advice on this "manhole" on driveway

Hello, Earlier on today we had a delivery and lorry wheel broke through driveway surface/ hidden concrete cover. I have removed all the broken concrete (about 4 inches thick) and shovelled out loads of sludge from the chamber and am left with what is in attached photos. There is as seen an inlet...

Fitting coving when there is an undulation in ceiling

Hello, I am fitting some coving on our landing ceiling but as you can see from photo here there is one spot where the ceiling dips down for a very short length .( It is solid over a beam) From experience would it be best to let the coving follow that dip around or cut away the coving so that is...

Ride on lawnmower won't start with electric start but does by manual pull start

Hi. I have a ride on mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine. With a fully charged battery and plenty of fuel when I try and start using the starter motor it turns over strongly but won't kick into life. Do support blocks have to be under corner "feet" of container?

Hi when siting a container do the supporting blocks have to be directly under the corner feet or can they be under the outside "girders" that stretch the length of the container. I ideally want to put them under these girders just inside of the feet. One in each corner just inside feet Thanks

Bedding sleepers in ground to support site office/shipping container.

Thanks for advice all. I want the container to be as close to ground level as possible and raising up onto sleepers would make too high.

Bedding sleepers in ground to support site office/shipping container.

Thanks for advice. I will probably just go for the fill with concrete option. Do you think 12" deep will be enough. How long would concrete need to set sufficiently ?

Bedding sleepers in ground to support site office/shipping container.

Hello, I am going to be using a site office as added space to my existing workshop. It is 20ft X 8ft and I've been told weighs about 2 tons. As you will know all of the weight it put on the four corner feet and nowhere else to stop rusting or water ingress. I have some old sleepers ( 6 inches...

    Can I use a 1000w 48v lithium battery to power 48v 1200w motor

Hello, My son has an Oset 20 electric trial bike that runs off 4 x 12v lead acid batteries. Great little bike but doesn't last long on acid batteries. I know many people have used lithium batteries on these for much longer run time and they are lighter. My question is per title . A lithium...

Thanks for your response, appreciated. I know that the DC cable can be connected to key switch ( R for regulator) to charge battery once it is turned on and while engine is running but can it be connected straight to positive terminal on battery instead ? Also does the rectifier normally have a...
