    Hi, sorry i never got around to photos, will try at weekend. The roof is 1932 council end terrace and has what i think is called a half hip. ie. there is no 'gable' wall in the loft, just roof. The angled part that is in the little circle on diagram is where the perlins meet the hip part...

    In case anyone else searches for similar. I did not do as advised above (sorry) I had half a bag of 'out of date'' browning plaster, so mixed that, plopped it down like brick mortar, wood on top, tap to level in all directions, then 4 hours later, sunk some screws and plugs in at the back...

    Hi all, Recently had tri-fold sliding do dar what's it door and on the inside there is a step from the brickwork to the floor level. I want to lay wood across the length so I can paint etc. The brick/block is uneven and there are brackets as well, so can i lay the wood on to a bed of mortar...

    The only thing I can think of is that room 1 rad is very close to the flow and returns near the tank, about a metre....would this be a problem?

    So shall I start that all over again working in the order they heat up? As when i first tried this the kitchen got not water to it at all. So is it going to be a case of living and hallway can only ever be on say half open on the flow, so that the kitchen can get some too?

    nope, nothing up there, the flow goes through a sort of air trap type thing (I think) before it gets to the pump and tank
