    What fault code reader

James, I paid less than £30 for an OBD II fault code reader off fleabay. Came with fault code book, have used it twice on two different vehicles & it works. Just plug it into your cars OBD port, when your ECU light illuminates. Only covers the basic fault codes, but I'm happy with that.

    Soundproofing an internal solid wall?

Jeds, Thanks for the info. Yes it's the low moise frequency I could do with reducing. May have to try other options, have noisy tennants nextdoor. May have to approach their landlord, just didn't want the hassle, but that's life.

Garcraig, If you want a go fixing it yourself, read on. If your engine management light is still on, buy yourself a obd 2 reader (diagnostic reader), can buy one off fleabay cheaply. Great tool (I have one & came with fault codes), connect to your obd 2 port...

    Soundproofing an internal solid wall?

Deluks, Thanks for your reply, suppose were talking mass for reducing sound levels. The thin stuff may be OK at reducing high resonance noise levels, not low? Thought they'd be an easy answer, obviously not.

    Soundproofing an internal solid wall?

Hi all, What's the easiest way to soundproof a partitioning solid wall? Would it be a case of covering the wall with an acoustic membrane (1.2 mm) & then plastering over the top? Any other easy diy solutions? Thanks.

    Upstairs lights not working

Breezer, When I had the loft converted, the electrician ran some new cables through to the extension. I think I know where he took the feed from, should I check there? Obviously I'll kill the supply first. The upstairs landing light works, 2 way switch from down stairs...
