Brush the insides of four ramekins with butter. Add a small amount of sugar to each and turn them to coat the sides and bottom, shaking out any excess. Set aside to chill in the fridge. Use a fine grater to zest the lemons – grate the yellow outer skin, but be careful not to grate the white...

Raise gutter above ground level or leave it as it is?

The pot is there to take the rainwater from the pipe above and not to collect water from the drive so just extend the grid higher with a bottle gulley riser and extend it higher than the gravel so nothing can block the grid. Your main issue is the render on the house is in the way of extending it.

    Wondering if anyone could help...

The building trade is massive at the moment, I’d drive around a few building sites speak to the foreman and introduce yourself. Leave him your card. Some would be crying out for plasterers. Good luck.

    Quote for FSG reasonable ?

Sounds ok, we’d be more. If it’s all being stripped off and off a scaffold then fine. Ogee guttering is for conservatories. White square guttering is for council houses. You’ll need deepflow gutter (deep round) and round traditional downpipes.

    Tudor Boards - replacing

Post a pic on here when it’s all done. Try and render first and plant the boards on top it will show the true thickness of the boards.

    Tudor Boards - replacing

We re rendered an old 1950’s house before putting new Tudor boards on and we thought the panelling was wood. It ended up being sheets of asbestos, must have been like 2 ft by 8ft sheets painted white. Never seen them before. Never seen since.
