    You have a blockage or partial blockage from the trap to outside drain. Try a good quality sink plunger to start with.The other spigot(sticky out thing) should not be opened. This has nothing to do with drainage configuration but is a second drainage inlet for if you were to connect a dishwasher.

    Providing you have checked the manual for child lock or anti theft lock function then unfortunatly it sounds like you have a fairly serious component(s) break down as all modern tv recievers power supplies completely shut down if a fault ie short circuit is sensed in the equipment

    Check the motor plug first for loose or burned connection it is easily opened by two small barbs each end of plug and visually inspected I have had this fault on more than one occasion as the connections pass quite a hefty current and are subject to quite a bit of vibration

    Unfortunately a contuity test is not what a white goods tech would normally do as it is much easier to get a replacement motor from the van and simply piggyback the new motor to test.However if it is a top mounted motor you could try new brushes and if that does not cure they will not be wasted...

    they do not screw in underneath. The one that has detached is because the clips have sheared on the underside and you will need a replacement. You must take the model and serial number along with you to the spares supplier as there is some difference on different models.

    One more component to check that is the heater.Disconnect spades or plug to eliminate.It is possible in transit unless the machine has been kept upright all of the move that the residual water at the bottom of the tub may have found its way up to the electrics at the top of the machine.
