Need a partition wall as thin as possible.

I need to part off the rear of one room in my house to create a corridor into the extension. Space is at a premium here in order to fit a decent width door in and not loose too much off the size of the room. So are there any other options than the standard 4" studwork with two sheets of...

    Water Management System

I think you'll find you will also need an abstraction licence from the environment agency in order to legally use the water from the spring. http://www.here4greenbusiness.co.uk/waterabs.htm http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/subjects/waterres/564321/

    Strange partition wall

I'm currently building an extension, and as part of this I need to knock through the back of the airing cupboard to create a corridor. The existing airing cupboard is formed by partition walls in an existing bedroom. The strange thing is these walls seem to be formed from like a corrugated...

Waterproof paint for inside of single brick outbuilding.

I've built a single brick outbuilding, and now before I put anything inside it I want to paint the walls with a waterproof type of paint to prevent the possibility of any damp coming through the brick work. Which type/make of paint would be best for this? Thanks

    new brakes,spongy pedal

It wouldnt do any harm to give them a bleed anyway. Brake fluid doesnt last forever, so bleed a good amount through from each wheel, start furthest from the master cylinder.

    Two Storey Extension

This project is well underway now, the house is a two bed end terrace, will shortly be a three bed with ensuite, garage, conservatory, downstairs WC and utility room. I've got some builders doing the shell, and then its up to me to finish it. So here's how everything started out, remains of...

    Workshop

I'm currently having a reasonably large extension built, so at the same time I thought i'd build a workshop, makes sense as there will already be bricks etc.. on site. So managed to get hold of one of the brickies for a couple of days and made some reasonable progress, till we ran out of...

    cuprinol rollable decking treatment

What about if you use the sand blasting kit you can get for most pressure washers? I know they sand blast oak beams to get them looking like new so it might work.

    Workshop Roof Design

That looks good Al. It wouldnt let me see the other pictures in your album from the first link, as it wanted a password. But the thumbnails you just posted worked ok. It looks good, I hadn't thought about having opening doors on the end of the gable like that, but its a good idea, think i'll...

    Workshop Roof Design

That looks spot on. Don't suppose youve got any in progress pics as you built it have you? What did you tile/dover the ply with? And also have you put an extra high door on the end or something so you can get access to that area? Thanks Al :)

    Vauxhall Astra SRI

Very common problem on these, you need to give the throttle body a clean. Get a can of carb cleaner, and an old toothbrush. Remove the engine cover and you'll see a black tube that goes from the air filter onto the throttle body, loosen the jubilee clip, then open the throttle to max, spray...
