    Usually about 1 bar. Slightly less for a large system i.e 0.75 Or for a very small system 1.5 bar. its all in the ltrs and the vessle size but I'd just go for 1 bar

    Is the 12ltr a min from kitchen tap?? and is that fed from the cold storage tank or the Mains?? Is the Main stopcock fully open, or screwed partial shut??

    cheep shower with poorly designed internals posibly = low flow Other than that, half closed isolation valves behind wall.

    does the Central heating work?? Is the timer switched onto 'ON' and the rocker switch in the HW + CH position.

    Anyone know of a straight radiator valve with drain off??

    Never seen a straight with a drain, how about using a T piece and drain then attach the straight valve. Plumb center might be able to order you in the pegler ones though.

    Is the DHW flow switch disengaging after drawing water?? Does the burner still fire after water tap is closed??

    No recalls?? At present BG is undertaking a replacement program on a few magnacleans that were manufactured with certain serial numbers.... however the valves are not the problem, it was a prblem with the body. No valves are 100% and you will always get a leak sometime, I myself have found...

    Only ones that tend not too are the ancient old ball ones with the single slot for a plain screwdriver. most new ones leak like a fountain as soon as you touch them! And the new gate type tend to pass!!

    Dual purpose but more expensive and you should not have too much non metalic debris after flushing. Never seen one in use tho.

    This is NOT a boiler a DIY man should be touching, once worked on the boiler must have certain safey tests done. Get a proper gasman into fix this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Is is a system boiler?? blocked where cold feed goes into system or used to?? Get a magnet on it! Is it an old pump?? The impellar may have sheared off. whats not working hot water of heating??

    Magnaclean - ease of cleaning?

    Its ideal for adding inhibitor too, although you cannot get a whol litre in there but you should not really have to add it very often anyhow. I really is an amazing product when you see how much crud it remives from the system.

    I would check the drain where the condensate pipe connects it...I have seen them fitted into an exsisting pipe and they have forgotten to drill the hole! Was it torrential rain at the said time fo the incident??

    New Gas Supply

    I would say no... you would be better getting a sunken one rather than knock a huge hole on you wall, you would need a builder not a gas man for that job. As for BG fitting a gas pipe...I never knew they did such things! Always though it was SGN or Transco did it.

    Or failing that, get another drain cock and adapt the washer to size, if its too big trim it down. or replace the whole unit

    overfilling my boiler

    Is there a drain point on the system?? some place around the outside of the house perhaps?? If not the blead a rad into a bowl. the gauge will move down as there will be a negative pressure from the pump when in kicks in to heat the boiler.

    Any clever people out there?

    I think to plundger method might do the trick...rather than water maybe use something thicker??? washing up liquid?? might make it slip down easier and give it a greater seal for compression??? Just a thought!!! or get a protable compressor for an air gun or something?? but as you will know...
