If the pipes are in the correct configuration ie, flow pipe from the boiler should have the exp pipe then the cold feed and lastly the pump as close as possible to the boiler then suspect a blockage in the cold feed exp pipe area. Needs to cut out and replaced.

I assume you have the room stat turned up?? If so then the fault will lie with you head of the 3 port valve, when on CH only you should get 240Vac to the motor in the head. If you do and it does not motor then its the syncron motor thats dead and easily replaced.

Locksheild on the return and the control valve on the flow, if its TRV's make sure you put the flow of water through the TRV the correct way.
